Antibiotics or Essential Oils

I’ve been using essential oils instead of antibiotics for about 20 years now and have had fantastic results.  Obviously I love the effects from the plants so much I started making Alywillow products to share the power of the plants with others.

However,  most people don’t understand that value of therapeutic essential oils, and they often still look at me in disbelief when I tell them about the great benefits. So, I’m always happy to see articles covering new research and appreciation for the plants (even if it is just for livestock).  Especially when we are starting to see so many problems with the antibiotics due to side effects and resistance.  🙂chicke

In this article, Essential Oils Might be the New Antibiotics, by Tory Rodriguez of The Atlantic,  it states “a recent report commissioned by the U.K. government estimates that drug-resistant microbes could cause more than 10 million deaths and cost the global economy $100 trillion by the year 2050″. Obviously, we need to find something better…

Those of us who use essential oils as preventative care know it has excellent health benefits… “One such study, from the March 2012 issue of the Journal of Animal Science, found that rosemary and oregano oils resulted in the same amount of growth in chickens as the antibiotic avilamycin, and that the oils killed bacteria, too.”

So, why aren’t we using essential oils in a more widespread basis?  It does require an education of the plants to use them safely and you need the right quality (therapeutic, not aromatic), but if you follow the money, you’ll see how manufacturers of our antibiotics will lose out if more people begin to understand the power and effectiveness of therapeutic essential oils (but that’s another story all together).  😉
